Community Lifeline is being recognized!
Community Lifeline has been nominated by the Mason County Health Department to receive and take part in a Recognition Ceremony. This is in recognition of our exceptional service to Mason County throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. We will be joined by other strong forces and community partners as well! This accomplishment could not have been achieved without the love and support of our staff, volunteers, and community. Through the surge of the pandemic, many of our staff and clients became ill. Despite this we pulled together with our community to provide a safe place for clients to get well while the shelter had to temporarily close. Tammy Bacigalupo (Shelter Manager) and Athena Ayres (Executive Director) spent 10 days caring for covid positive clients out of a hotel set up for isolation and quarantine. Without Tammy and Athena’s onsite care and a close working relationship with the Health Department, 26 covid positive individuals would have had nowhere to go. Tammy and Athena provided an array of services while also recovering from the virus themselves. It is an incredible honor to be recognized by the Mason County Health department for the tremendous efforts Community Lifeline put forward through this fight! We truly appreciate and value the support from our community and donors!
